SQUARE LIDS AND JARS STARTED BY TRYPET

TRYPET keeps on its approach to develop products that go beyond traditional design of standard PET containers with screw lids.

There was an inquiry for a series of cubical PET containers with the snap-on lids. Although this solution existed for a long time, adapting it to the particular design was quite a challenge. PET is a tricky material when you try to make straight walls. Square form of the lid means that a jar must be oriented in a certain position during blowmoulding. The lid must provide tight closing but still it should not be too difficult to open. However, the biggest trick is to make it all feasible in money terms, because order quantities for this type of containers are not so big.

Our customer launched the packing line for its high-class wine gums with our jars in the end of 2022. Ø55-mm neck jars are available in 200 ml and 350 ml options; the lid bears the customer’s logo. Lift-and-peel heat-induction liners with the logo print are used for the sealing. Jars are made with the adding of PCR material.

TRYPET is capable to develop and provide customized packaging of this type in different designs and sizes, including the neck diameter, height and width of jars etc. Any of the applicable existing options of lining are available.
